About Me

My name is Vida Talab. I graduated Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have interests in the field of medicine and public health. I became a  part of the Global Learning Medallion program during my sophomore year by recommendation of my advisor, who saw a interest in me to gain more insight into the world outside of Miami. Through the GLM program I discovered interesting courses and attended seminars and lectures talking about global issues. I also learned of the club GlobeMed, a club that focuses on public health issues that affect countries around the world. I have been the GHU coordinator for a year and a half, presenting public health topics and educating others about relevant issues that affect people around the globe. Outside of academics, I sing as a part of my church worship team as well as in various music projects. I also find joy in working out and learning about health and nutrition. After graduation, I plan to obtain a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health Sciences, with desires to pursue epidemiological research and eventually PA school
