Leadership

I have been the GHU Coordinator for the FIU Chapter of GlobeMed since Spring 2019. My contribution has been presenting and educating students on relevant public health topics. Some topics I have covered include Fast Fashion, Vaccines, the Water Crisis, and Reproductive Rights. GlobeMed has contributed significantly to my desire to pursue a Master's Degree in Public Health

I joined the International Buddy Program to further expand my skills in mentoring and leadership. When I met my mentee Linh, I felt an instant connection. We have had many conversations about relationships and connecting with honest and genuine people. I have learned so much from Linh, and I am glad to have found a new friend.

I discovered Mind & Melody Fall 2017 during my sophomore year. Coming from an arts high school, I have always had an appreciation for the arts. So when I read the philanthropy behind Mind & Melody, it really spoke to me. I had never heard of music therapy before, nor its therapeutic effects for people who suffer from Alzheimer's Disease. In support of their cause, I got involved in the FIU Chapter and volunteered at music sessions.
